If you've missed it, the Leafs fired Marc Savard and have not yet hired any kind of replacement. It would have been a bit odd to do that for one game before the holidays. Some kind of hire seems pretty inevitable unless they have someone with the Marlies they want to promote.

I was happy to see JT taking a lot of faceoffs so I think his hand is okay, and also watching Nylander having a big points game, so I think his ego is intact. I am worried about Chris Tanev, but he's an adult, he makes his own decision.
