Did you watch last night's game? I bet you wish you didn't.
The Bruins won last night 5-3 in a game that had little to offer beyond that the team may have simply had a run of good luck recently and have now gone back to their previous woes. Anthony Stolarz was pulled from the net in the second period after letting in the first four and was replaced by Dennis Hildeby who was brought up from the Marlies while Joseph Woll is there on a conditioning stint. Hildeby stopped 19 of 20 SOG against in his time in net.
Craig Berube summed it up saying "I thought three of the goals we ended up bringing the puck back into our zone when we didn't need to, we could have just got it out, and they ended up scoring on three of them," adding "We didn't execute well enough and for me, we caused all three [goals]."
The Leafs were very close to tying up the game 4-4 in the third period when William Nylander got the crossbar-post special where the puck didn't actually go past the red line.

The fun highlight of the night though was Pavel Zacha wiping out while trying to join in on a net-front scrum.

The Leafs have no time off to figure out how it all went wrong as they are hosting the Hurricanes tonight for the traditional Hall of Fame Game. This is a rare second game of a back-to-back for both teams, with the Hurricanes playing the Sabres last night, winning 6-3. We'll have a preview out later this morning of what may come in this one.
Here's 5-on-5 the score map from last night. Not much happening there for the Leafs at the net, or, anywhere.

Joe Woll didn't have a stellar return last night either, with the Marlies losing 3-2 to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Woll played for about half the game before being replaced by Vyacheslav Peksa, which was likely a preplanned change for his conditioning and returning to play, but Woll did let in all three goals from the Phantoms on 24 shots against him.
Of course, things could be worse for the Leafs. Check out the score bug on this screenshot.
It’s been a ROUGH night for the Oilers 😅😅 pic.twitter.com/NziKiaRkF5
